ILRe-port – new format

            Important Announcements from the International Lama Registry

 

We will be using a new format with the ILRe-port. We are all so inundated with e-mails these days, we are doing what we can to simplify the process of gleaning information from the Report. Rather than have it be a separate document with links, we will include the information in the body of the e-mail we send. It will contain pertinent industry information to include ILR updates. The classifieds will be a part of this document but will also be posted on the ILR home page when we redo the website. We will also post the banner ads on the home page to give them more exposure.

 

As far as articles go, we know there are many good articles out there but rather than make them a part of the Report, we will have an archived articles section on the ILR website and let you know when we post new articles.

 

The Report will be information driven rather than monthly driven so it will be sent when we have information to share.

FIBER TESTING AVAILABLE!! / DNA PRICES ADJUSTED

 

You can now use the root balls from FIBER SAMPLES to do your DNA testing!! Call the office for particulars – 406-755-3438. More and more individuals are DNA testing their animals – give us a call if you would like particulars.  The price for DNA testing (FTA cards or fiber) of your llamas has been raised from $32 to $35 for members and $40 for non-members. The price increase is due to increased charges from the DNA lab.

 

 

I WANT A LLAMA

 

We all need to promote llamas. We have a site to help you in doing so. Have you looked at the I Want a Llama site lately? You'll see slide shows of great llama photos at www.iwantallama.com  There are categories for: Packing, Hiking, Showing, Oooooh Llamas, and Fun & Folly. More will be added in the future. It's a great site to direct potential llama owners to or to just enjoy yourself. Look carefully - you might see yourself in the photos submitted by members! There's also a storehouse of llama literature available on the site.

Current ILR members can advertise their llamas but the sales list can be viewed by anyone. Just $60 will reserve this space for 3 months. During that time, you can edit the photo and/or the text and even advertise a different animal at any time. Links to the llama’s genealogy allow the buyer to research the llama’s bloodlines immediately. Other links can lead potential buyers to your ranch website or allow them to contact you easily by email. As numbers of advertised llamas increase, we will be adding search criteria.

Found new homes for the llamas, now I need to find a HOME FOR ALL OF THE PARAPHERNALIA I have accumulated. Mt Sopris pack system, baby halters, llama crossing sign, wrought iron-like llama silhouettes and large full detailed face. Entire 5 strand electric fence set up for approx 3/4 acre.
